Abstract

Our TDG project aimed to explore the development of a web-interface platform for classification of tissue specimens that incorporates a supervised artificial intelligence (AI)-aided deep learning computer system. This platform was designed to promote self-directed learning and enhance students’ comprehension and proficiency in microscopy image analysis. In this presentation, we will share our experiences in developing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model capable of accurately identifying and classifying animal organ tissue specimens from grayscale microscopy images. Utilizing the platform, students will have the opportunity to receive AI-automated feedback to verify and analyze their own microscopy images, while also engaging in self-assessment through quizzes. Furthermore, we will discuss the feedback and experiences shared by students who have utilized this learning platform, providing insights into its practical implementation and effectiveness.
